Hello Blogosphere!

I’m finally here! I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for years. I’ve already got a good online presence in other arenas, and even my 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter both have blogs, so it’s defintely time for WhitePineLane to join the crowd.

The View from White Pine Lane will be pretty eclectic in its focus—just like my interests! My posts will include everything from family and parenting issues, to what I’m doing today, to techie-geek stuff and book reviews. I'll talk about and feature my Squidoo lenses, and my eBay store —everything in my life!

I’ve been married for 21 years to the love of my life, and we have two gorgeous, smart and funny tweener kids that are the absolute lights of our lives. I was a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) for 8 years once my second child was on the way, but I’ve been working full time again for three years now.

My husband and I hope, one day soon, to go back to the less-stressful days when I was taking care of hearth and home! Well-- in my own way, anyway. I'm no June Cleaver-- I'm well educated, fairly well travelled, I have a mind of my own, and I rarely wear pearls in the kitchen! It just suits our family best to have me as mere de famille, and my hope would be that I could make some kind of living working from home, with the flexibility to care for my family when and where they need me.

A lot of what I do focuses on my kids and on being a mom-- and right now a frazzled working mom. So if you're in that place too, stick around! Chime in and we'll sympathize, empathize and commiserate!
